Mining town

Description

Allihies on the Beara peninsula, Ireland, was a centre for copper mining until the late 19th/early 20th century. It attracted many immigrants from Cornwall, and many emigrated to Montana, USA when the mines closed. Above the town is the ruin of the engine house for Mountain Mine.
